A little of everyday 's Life :)

Namaste amazing beings,
Our adventure is carrying on wonderfully in India :)
About 1 month after the cyclone Thane hit the Tamil Nadu and everything is like normal again. Our way of living is different thought as it was a wonderful lesson to learn how not to be so dependent on electrical stuff.
Anyway i have made my favorite tea in hot water and before to get to work i thought i will write a few words about our lives here in this present time.
First of all, the place where we are living until the beginning of March is wonderful, it is like a community where live Sandro who is German visiting India since 6 months, He came to be a Yoga teacher, Elana who is a Californian woman living in Turquia, Sarah who arrived in December from California, Michelle from Israel, Gilles who is from France and lived in California also for 40 years. We all get on so well and love being here.
Regarding my occupation, i work for an NGO (Non Governmental Organization) in a Health Center, i am making a presentation about “Food as Medicine” to help the Tamil woman to prevent infection, illness and to use prevention thanks to the food available here. We are also trying to put in place new habits such as eating brown rice instead of white and so on. It is amazingly interesting. Also every single essentials oils, back remedies and flower remedies are available so i am classifying them and learning about all, for the ones who know me you will know what that mean to me :)... Anyway this is in the morning; i am there from around 9 to 12h30. The people i am working with are amazing.
In the afternoon around 2 i meet Christine who also work with me at the health center because i have been ask to help organizing the “International festival of the Woman Theater” which will take place one week in March. There will be 2 representations in Auroville and one in Pondy. This experience is fantastic and the Christine and me cannot stop laughing in each other presence which is so therapeutic.
Lhasa has adapted like a fish in the deep sea at her new school. She LOVES it. Every morning i take her on my moppet and of course she loves it. Her school is English but there is all nationalities. It is about human unity and universal consciousness. I never saw Lhasa learning so fast and happy to do her home. This active and free progress oriented approach classrooms are replaced by areas of work and play, where children can move freely, following their own rhythm and inner guidance. These different areas are: Languages, Mathematics, World and Science, Arts, Role-play, Workshop (clay/carpentry), cooking, Garden and sports ground. In each of these areas children can find a variety of consciously chosen material, and a guiding person to assist them. The teachers also make sure that the prepared environment is always organized, safe and updated with new material. Besides this, several projects of different duration are always offered in which children can choose to participate.
Two to three times a month, there is an excursion.
They eat at school, everything is self product and from the garden which is organic. Then every afternoon they have sport which consists at doing games. Lhasa comes back with a HUGE smile on her face every afternoon and she feels so excited to tell me about her day at school.
Life here is so easy and so special in the same time. We are in front of so much contrast. But the heart of the people here is so open that it gives me emotion sometimes to see how some people with nothing will give you the little they have just to make you smile. They are not expecting anything in exchange.
I have so much more to say but i have to go to work. I miss my friends, but every morning i wake up feeling the blessing of feeling so much love for people who are now so far away from me.
Next blog will be on my meeting with Wilma, my 2 hours massage with Shamboo, the week of Yoga, the cow attacking me, the smell of incense everywhere. :)
Peace Equality Love

Namaste my friends :)

Meditation

Namaskar my sweet friends,

Everything is now coming back to normal with the nature. The people are still working on cleaning up the trees around and the electricity is not back but we are getting used to it and all is fantastic :)
Last night our neighbor gave a nice note to Lhasa saying that we were invited to a meditation for unity in the Tibetan Pavillon.
As the sun set, all candles illuminated the pavillon and its surroundings. Many people gathered around the place to take part of a collective amazing meditation. It was an amazing peaceful feeling and the candles looked like stars in a clear night and the tibetan chants started emanating inside the pavillon.
So far this has been the most peaceful feeling i felt since we have arrived.
All meditations are the same there are an inner journey which help t give a person self centered.
Meditation is not a contemplation nor a concentration,it is not about doing something but rather about doing nothing.. Well this is something i feel ore than ever comfortable with since i am in India. I feel like it is easier to be.
We went back home with the bike Lhasa and me singing in the big moon light, thinking "Woow what a great day and experience!"
Tomorrow we are off to Thiruvannamala for a two days trip in Sri Ramana Ashram it is a 3 hours away trip and we are looking forward to go there.
Have a fantastic and great loving day xx
Happiness is in our heart xx

Cyclone Thane

Namaste my lovelies,
wow what an experience.
Since last Thursday the all world around me as change, and the way of living also :)
The cyclone has destroy 70 % of the forest around us.
During the night we were sleeping when the wind started and it felt really weird as the wind felt so strong that i haven't lived this before. I had share feeling because i felt fear but also i couldn't believe it was happening. We have no glass as the windows neither door as the weather here is hot all year. We only had mosquito blind so it gave us the impression of being at the top of a tree during the storm. All night til 5 am it was impressive. The electricity stopped working allready since the beginning of the storm. We received a message on the indian phone that the cyclone was on its way and that suddenly frightened me as i thought "What because this is not IT?" Anyway few minutes after that a Korean family living next door ask to open the door as they couldn't stay in their room because the rain was entering everywhere. We all had to sit in a corner of the room the only corner that was without water.
At 6h30 am the light of the day started to show us the reality of things and we could see trees flying to crush on the next door house and the horizon was not showing a jungle anymore but the sky on kilometers.
Well i can say at least we have known our new neighbors, they were really worry so we started to make joke and all.
The wind stopped round 1 pm to let place to big rain. We came out of the room around 3 pm and couldn't believe the landscape. Nearly all trees were down. But what i saw then were amazing: All the Indian people started working together, laughing and talking and in a couple of hours the road were cleared out for the main village. Everyone started to work together even Lhasa and me to help to make tea and clearing out all the trees. it seemed to bother no one. To the day of today we are one week without water or electricity. I find internet like today in the unit were they have solar energy. It is an amazing experience for this new year 2012. A beautiful one :) Since then, we play, we talk, we share, we read, we find all the pleasure of not having electricity. I Love cold shower also and i am not missing hot shower. When there is none of artificial way of living every single moment in a house such as television and internet and video game we learn how to be all together again. Even today i came in a bar where there is Wifi and everyone is talking to eachother because it is a bar.

Christmas feeling :)

Namaste
Happy Christmas to everyone, I hope you all had great time and that Father Christmas has bring you the Love ,peace and Joy that you deserve.
On this day we went to Ganesh temple and Lhasa had the great luck to get on the elephant, the taxi driver was a friend of the man and took Lhasa to get on. She loved it but said the hairs are really hard on his head and it was hitching :)
The manual washing machine make me think that the modern world make us stop to think and so make us stop all appreciation. I had to go fill up the bucket of water to fill in the washing machine and I am going back to push the button “Spin”. I love it.
We manage anyway to have a warm shower by heating up some water on the gas and put it all in a bucket; it made us laugh so much.
Apart from that, hopefully in a previous life I experienced being a princess in India, oh i mean a cow. Yes literally a cow. They are having a great life here and they are pretty and fat :) They are the princess of the road as you have to stop and wait they cross the road even in the city or on the high way. Lhasa really loved them but she is too afraid to touch them.
Regarding the police here it is really funny, today they were playing badminton and they are so smiley. Everyone is so smiley here.
There are many people from abroad here but the exchange and life seems to be a good between the Tamil people and the rest of the world.
I am lucky because my friend here is Hindi so we are buying everything half price which obviously mean that I have bought enough clothes for a life time :) and so did Lhasa. Also I went to do some ID picture and the guy came with a small digital camera and I had to stand against the wall and smile.. When I think we make it all so complicated back in Europe. I will see tomorrow the result of this photo.
I didn’t have the feeling of wanting to change the world here even so there are many people begging for money, especially outside the temple. I see people here are quite generous and many of the Hindi don’t hesitate sharing their money.   It hasn’t occurred to me to try to change the Indian world. In exchange it has occurred to me to reeducate myself on real life.
I haven’t take many picture yet because I want to take everything with my eyes first. And make it all real. I will do soon.
I hope everyone is feeling great; we will be back for the next adventure :)

My birthday in India :)

Namaste my friend,
Well this is day 2 in India and yet it seems that i have lived here such a long time. I always wonder what people meant when they spoke about India. All the people that i know loved it. I met a friend who had tea with us today again, he is a very wise India man, he said: " India: You rather love it or hate it".I Love it !! ;)
So what was India today: I woke up at 9 am and my first thought went to: "I am 32 today" and my second thought went to: "And i am in India... Wow". I had a lovely breakfast, when i say lovely it is not only for the food but also for the so friendly and smiley people, there is something in the air here which give you the smile. I have to say the sunshine and heat are amazing. Especially when i know that winter is taking place in Europe.
I love to see full family on bike and i love when my friend come and get Lhasa and me and we all go on the motorbike to the next door village.
In the afternoon i did shopping , i bought 4 trousers and 4 tee shirts which are amazingly beautiful and it costed 1200 indian rupees (about 18 €), i also purchase some hand made flip flop for 350 Indian rupees (5 €), it is really amazing. It seems that all this year i spend so much money on clothes and shoes.
The stronger feeling i have for the moment is Freedom, India give me the sense of it. I see many people from the rest of the world also and everyone have their own style and it matters to no one.
To finish for now i will say that even in a crowded city there is no sense of individualism or superiority. Even the Indian man living on the street is smiling. Why? Because they are so happy and grateful to be alive. Worry doesn't seem to be part of the local dictionary. So what does it do to have my birthday in India? A memory for a lifetime :) Some food for my soul :) I am happy to have made this choice of coming to India. Lhasa loves it so much she all ready go to play freely on the grass next to the restaurant. It is really great to hear her laugh at all time.
Tomorrow we are off to see the elephants.
Oh and pictures will come soon, here is one of our lunch ;)
Blessings.

The Impossible became possible :)

Hello everyone,
this morning i got up early and walk in Paris towards the Indian ambassy or better say VHS Indian Visa. When i got there there were hardly anyone waiting, i said i wanted to make an urgent visa to go on tuesday 20/12  (+54 € each passeport) but the person there told me that i needed a return ticket which i didn t have. So i went to a travel agency near by and find there a lovely woman who gave me a paper of return reservation just like this. Thank youuu M'dam :)
I had to go back this afternoon and they gave me our two passeports signed and stamped for an entry visa.
I am back to Spain tomorrow and me and Lhasa are off in 5 days... Wow
